Carol Singing raises £182 for Dove House

Friday, December 22nd, 2017

On Saturday morning (16th Dec), members of the choir sang their hearts out in Tesco Foyer in Goole for an hour (Thank you Tesco) raising £182 for Dove House Hospice. A lovely and most worthwhile way to end our year, and we thank everyone involved in helping us this year.

If you are thinking of joining us in 2018, come along to Wesley Place on Thursdays at 7.00pm. We are performing Carmina Burana at Easter, and you enjoy trying to get to grips with this wonderful piece of music.

Happy and peaceful new year to all.

Christmas Magic

Friday, December 15th, 2017

Both our Christmas concerts this year in Cowick Church and Drax Sports and Social Club were very well attended by an appreciative audience, who were treated to some wonderful music from the choir, Peter Sproston on the piano, Carolyn Storey, Pam Waddington-Muse and Dennis Hardy.

Our last performance of the year will be in the foyer of Tesco’s in Goole at 10.30 and 11.30 for half an hour each session. This is to raise money for “Dove House”, and we hope that you will come and support us, both by singing and making a donation.

Merry Christmas  and a Peaceful new year to all from everyone at Snaith and District Choral Society.

Wolmersley Community Handbell Ringers

Tuesday, December 5th, 2017

In both our Christmas concerts there will be a performance by Wolmersly Community Handbell Ringers who will play some of their own pieces, as well as accompanying the choir in a couple of the carols. They performed with us last year, and were very much appreciated by the audience, and we look forward to hearing them at both Cowick and Drax this year.
